Everyone needs socks, especially when the weather turns a little cooler. Pop along to this Saturday session to knit out your own pair of socks.
Within this 5 hour workshop, I will talk you through the basics of each part of the process, from knitting the mock rib, right through to the toe shaping and allow you all to then knit your own pair. No experience on the knitting machine is needed!
Whether you want to customise the socks with different colours and stripes, or create a basic colour blocked sock as your first pair, the design is up to you.If you wish to implement a pattern, you will also need to know the workings of the punch card.
All yarns will be provided as well as a print out of the sock pattern for you to take home along with your new socks.
I have both Silver Reed and Brother machines available for you to use, however you are more than welcome to bring your own.
Workshops will run on site from 10am - 3pm. Please also note, the Useless Studio Assistant may join, so there may be a dog in the workshop. Other dogs are welcome if you wish to bring yours, please just let me know in advance.
Parking is available on site.
