Become used to the knitting machine, know how to knit out some gorgeous samples and textures but no idea how to translate them into garments? This two and a half hour workshop could be right up your street.
Within this online 2 hour session, you will learn how to take a reliable tension count from a swatch and you will learn how to calculate to knit to an exact shape. Whether this is for a garment, or another shaped piece, we will work through all shaped areas, calculating the exact increase or decrease rate.
This will be perfect to knit out any garment with shaping. We will also cover neckline shaping and how to knit them, and if time go into shaping details to make the shaped areas really stand out.
Not only is this to be used for machine knitting, but this workshop can also be applicable for hand knitting also. If there is a specific swatch you wish to turn into a garment, please bring this along with you.
We will be mainly working on paper rather than with the knitted pieces, so please have with you any samples you wish to turn into garments and discuss
